 Family Medicine Residency

As the second oldest Family Medicine Residency in the Army, the NCC-DACH Family Medicine Residency has a long-standing tradition of excellence in graduate medical education. Founded in 1973, the Residency has over 220 graduates who have gone on to success in both the military and civilian communities. With its maximal 5-year ACGME accreditation, this 8/8/8 program emphasizes lifelong learning, personal enrichment, and collegiality
With over 90,000 military beneficiaries receiving healthcare through Dewitt Army Community Hospital, the residency provides outstanding educational opportunities. As an unopposed residency, family medicine residents do not compete with trainees from other specialties for learning opportunities. The Program emphasizes family physicians teaching family medicine residents. However, there is a wide variety of medical, surgical, and pediatric specialists available to support the Residency Program.
Currently, the NCC-DACH Family Medicine Residency is the military’s only multi-service family medicine residency program. Accepting both Army and Air Force interns, the program trains its residents to provide exceptional medical care wherever the military needs them. Additionally, the program sponsors the Army’s only Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in collaboration with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. This one-year fellowship trains four family physicians each year in sports medicine

We hope you review this website and learn more about our outstanding Residency. We look forward to talking with you about joining “The Best of Military Family Medicine.”
